Are the MLT0670 Blood Pressure Transducer and MLT0699 Blood Pressure Transducer suitable for recording Blood Pressure in rodents?

The MLT0670 Blood Pressure Transducer (Stopcock) and MLT0699 Blood Pressure Transducer (No Stopcock) are only suitable for recording mean Ventricular/Arterial blood pressures or heart rate in mice and rats.  Theses transducers do not have a high enough frequency response to accurately reproduce blood pressure waveforms in higher heart rate animal models where parameters such as Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, End Diastolic Pressure, etc. are to be obtained from the waveform.  For rodent applications where these and similar parameters are desired, we recommend using an MLT844 Physiological Pressure Transducer or a Millar Mikro-Tip® Solid State Catheter to record the blood pressure waveform.
