MPVS Duo Foundation System

The MPVS Duo Foundation System is  configured for measurement of left or right ventricular pressure (LVP) and volume in small through to large animals.  

The Millar MPVS Duo Pressure-Volume measurement system is designed to improve your workflow in both the training and data collection phases for both small and large animal pressure-volume research. The MPVS Duo provides users with guided steps and a linear menu structure that encompass all aspects of data collection, bringing the benefits of both admittance and conductance measurement methods alongside the reliability of Millar catheters to your studies in a user-friendly design. 

A variety of Millar MPVS Duo Pressure-Volume System compatible pressure-volume (PV) catheters are available for dog/pig/sheep, mice and rats, which are purchased separately for high quality, reproducible data. A range of configurations of PV catheters are available with all catheters having a single pressure sensor and platinum electrodes for volume measurement. Due to their small size, PV catheters can be placed directly into the left or right ventricle of the heart with minimal disruption to heart function. In vivo, the catheters can be used in either closed- or open-chest preparations, as well as being used in the isolated working heart preparation.

• Millar MPVS Duo Pressure-Volume System
• 1 × Instrument Interface
• PowerLab C
• LabChart and LabChart Pro analysis software
• PV Loop Module, specifically designed for the acquisition, calibration and analysis of left or right ventricular pressure and volume data. Setting files are provide to support both admittance and conductance calibration methodologies. Additional supporting workflows are provided to support conductance methodology for small and large mammals. Analysis results can be displayed in a variety of views, plots and tables.

Recommended: 

• Volume Calibration Cuvettes to convert volume units into mL for mice and rats may be purchased separately, if required but not included in your Configuration (see below).
